No boring history lessons, just the essentials you need to feel the vibe of Sarajevo. You’ll get the lowdown on the people, the culture, the best local eats, and a few insider tips to make your stay unforgettable.

Once we check you into the hotel and sort out the game plan for tomorrow, the rest of the evening is yours. Explore, chill or hit the town, whatever suits your style.

Sarajevo is yours for the night.

Day 2 - Beyond the city: Sarajevo city tour & Olympic mountain Trebević

The day kicks off with a deep dive into Sarajevo’s soul, a city tour that blends history, culture, and the unique energy that makes this place unforgettable. We’re not just checking landmarks; we’re feeling the pulse of the streets, soaking in stories hidden in every corner, and getting a taste of that famous Sarajevo charm.

Then, we take it up a notch, literally. The Trebević Cable Car lifts us high above the city, giving you a bird’s eye view of Sarajevo’s perfect blend of old and new. As we glide up, you’ll see the red rooftops fade into green mountain slopes, and before you know it, we’re stepping onto Olympic ground.

Trebević Mountain, once the beating heart of the 1984 Winter Olympics, now a peaceful escape with epic views and a hint of nostalgia. We’ll check out the abandoned bobsled track, a piece of sports history turned into one of the most iconic photo spots in the region. Walk around, breathe in the fresh mountain air, and soak up the contrast of nature and history all in one place.

Just when you think the day can’t get better, we add a dose of adrenaline. Welcome to Sunnyland, the ultimate spot to let loose. Whether you’re here for the speed of the alpine coaster, a relaxed coffee with a million-dollar view, or just a good time, this place delivers.

After a day of city stories, mountain magic, and thrill rides, we wrap things up and head back to the hotel, where you can unwind, recharge, and get ready for whatever comes next. Sarajevo’s night is yours to enjoy.

Day 3 - From underground battles to Olympic heights: Vrelo Bosne, Tunnel of Hope, Bjelašnica Olyimpic mountain

Our day begins in true serenity at Vrelo Bosne, one of Bosnia’s most iconic natural wonders. We start with a peaceful stroll through the park, crossing wooden bridges and taking in the emerald waters of the river’s spring. This is the heart of nature, where century-old trees create the perfect escape, and the air is fresh with the scent of pine and earth. Take your time to enjoy the natural beauty of the surroundings.

After soaking in the calm of Vrelo Bosne, we’ll return in style, taking a horse-drawn carriage ride back through the tree-lined avenue to the starting point. It’s a perfect way to unwind and reflect on the peacefulness of the spring before we continue our journey.

Next, we move to a place filled with history, the Tunnel of Hope, Sarajevo’s underground lifeline during the war. Walking through this historic passage, you’ll get a sense of the strength and resilience that allowed the city to stay connected with the outside world even during its darkest days. A powerful experience that ties the past to the present.

From here, we make our way into the mountains to Bjelašnica, a legendary Olympic mountain known for its breathtaking views and untouched beauty. We ride the gondola high up to the mountain’s peak, where the view stretches out before you like an endless sea of green valleys and majestic peaks. This is a perfect place to relax, breathe in the mountain air, and capture some stunning photos.

After taking in the panoramic views, we descend to Umoljani, a picturesque village nestled in the heart of the mountain. Here, you’ll be treated to a traditional Bosnian lunch in one of the most authentic settings you can imagine. Enjoy local specialties, from roast meats to homemade bread, all prepared with ingredients straight from the surrounding nature.

As the day comes to a close, we head back to our hotel for a relaxing evening in the peaceful surroundings. This is the perfect end to a day that blends nature, history, and authentic Bosnian experiences.

Day 4 - History’s reflection in the water: Blagaj & Mostar

The day kicks off as we head south, straight into Herzegovina’s rugged beauty, where emerald waters, ancient history, and unbeatable flavors create an unforgettable journey. First stop - Jablaničko Lake, a massive, mirror-like body of water tucked between mountains. But we’re not just here to admire the view, we’re getting on a traditional wooden raft. No rush, no noise, just the sound of water gently lapping against the wood as we glide across the lake. And because no Bosnian experience is complete without it, we slow things down even more with a cup of authentic Bosnian coffee, served right on the raft, just the way it’s meant to be enjoyed - strong, unfiltered, and with a view that makes time stand still.

Once back on solid ground, it’s time for a proper feast in Jablanica, the legendary capital of slow-roasted lamb (janjetina). This isn’t just food - it’s an art form, perfected over generations. Crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, roasted for hours over an open flame, this is the kind of meal that doesn’t just satisfy, it stays with you.

With our appetites fully taken care of, we roll into Blagaj, where nature and history collide in the most surreal way. The Buna River emerges directly from a towering cliff, creating one of the most powerful and stunning river springs in Europe. Right on its edge sits the Blagaj Tekke, a 600-year-old Dervish monastery, a place of silence, mystery, and absolute peace. The moment you step here, the air feels different - cool, crisp, and charged with centuries of stories.

And finally, we hit Mostar, the crown jewel of Herzegovina. As we walk through the Old Bazaar, the mix of Ottoman charm and Mediterranean energy is impossible to ignore. But the real highlight? Stari Most (Old Bridge), standing proudly over the turquoise Neretva, an icon of resilience and beauty. If we’re lucky, we’ll catch the fearless local divers taking the legendary plunge - a tradition as old as the bridge itself.

By the time the sun starts dipping, we pack up and head straight back to Sarajevo, leaving Herzegovina behind but carrying a piece of its soul with us.

Day 5 - The sound of nature: Bijambare caves & Sarajevo ZOO

Today, we step off the beaten path and dive into Bosnia’s raw nature, where caves, forests, and wildlife tell stories older than the city itself.

First, we venture into Bijambare Nature Park, a pristine escape just outside Sarajevo, where dense pine forests, open meadows, and fresh mountain air create the perfect setting for an adventure. But the real magic lies beneath the surface - hidden deep underground in the Bijambare Caves. Walking through these ancient limestone chambers, you’ll feel the cool air, hear the echoes bounce off the walls, and witness the slow work of nature in jaw-dropping stalactites and stalagmites formed over thousands of years.

After emerging back into daylight, we continue our nature-filled day with a visit to Sarajevo’s Zoo & Pionirska Dolina, a lush green oasis where the wild meets the city. Whether it’s a relaxed walk, getting up close with diverse wildlife, or just enjoying the natural surroundings, this is the perfect way to round off the experience.

By the time we return, you’ll have seen a whole new side of Sarajevo - untouched, underground, and absolutely unforgettable.

Day 6 - Shopping day: Sarajevo City Center, Shopping mall Alta & Baščaršija

After days of exploring Bosnia’s breathtaking landscapes, fortresses, and hidden gems, today is all about a smooth blend of modern shopping, traditional flavors, and a final stroll through Sarajevo’s timeless bazaar.

We start the day at Sarajevo City Center (SCC), the city’s largest and most modern shopping mall. Here, you’ll find a mix of international brands, local designers, and specialty stores, offering everything from high-end fashion and perfumes to electronics and unique accessories. Whether you’re looking for a luxury piece, a stylish gift, or something personal to take home, SCC has it all.

Next, we continue to Alta Shopping Center, another hotspot for fashion, accessories, and contemporary finds. With its sleek boutiques and diverse selection of brands, Alta is a great addition to the day’s shopping experience—perfect for those last-minute must-haves.

Once the shopping bags are full, it’s time for one last taste of Sarajevo. We head to Baščaršija, where we sit down for a proper Bosnian lunch - whether it’s Sarajevo’s legendary ćevapi, crispy pita, or a traditional slow-cooked dish, this meal is a farewell to the city’s finest flavors.

After lunch, we take one final walk through Baščaršija, this time not as tourists, but as those who’ve truly experienced Sarajevo. The cobblestone streets, the scent of freshly ground coffee, and the glow of copper workshops remind us why this place is unlike any other. This is the last chance to pick up a handcrafted souvenir, a piece of art, or a unique gift to bring Sarajevo home with you.

With the day complete, we head back to the hotel to unwind before departure the following day.

Day 7 - The Last Sip: Departure

The final morning starts with breakfast at the hotel, a slow and easy start to the day. No rushing, no errands, just one last moment to soak in Sarajevo before departure.

Before we head to the airport, we make one final stop at Kamarija Point of View the perfect way to say goodbye to the city. Sitting above Sarajevo, with its rooftops stretching into the distance and mountains standing guard, we take in the view one last time. And, of course, we do it properly with a cup of strong, unfiltered Bosnian coffee in hand. No better way to end the journey than with a deep breath, a slow sip, and a moment to let Sarajevo sink in.

When the time comes, we roll out to the airport, wrapping up unforgettable days in Bosnia. No stress, no rush just a smooth ride and a farewell to a city that never really lets you go.

It’s never goodbye, just until next time.
